It’s our purpose to proceed to the characterization of contemporary trends in children’s literature and young adults’ fiction in Portugal in recent years, with special emphasis on literary texts and illustration, area where vari- ous creators have distinguished themselves internationally. The legitimacy of children’s literature will also be analysed, with the identification of some areas of particular importance. |
