Análise comparativa do RSI no contexto da crise do estado de bem-estar

Abstract

Este trabalho decorre da constatação da Existência de uma anomalia que se verifica na distribuição geográfica dos beneficiários do Rendimento Social de Inserção (RSI), em que a percentagem de beneficiários no Porto é mais do dobro da que ocorre em Lisboa. Vamos analisar, de forma comparada, uma série de dados do RSI e indicadores demográficos, económicos e sociais destas duas regiões, por forma a encontrar possíveis justificações para esta aparente anomalia. As possíveis justificações prendem-se com o desemprego, aspectos processuais, questões familiares e diferentes taxas de adesão à medida.

The present work deals with an anomaly verified in the geographic distribution of the Social Integration Benefit’s (RSI) beneficiaries’,in Portugal: the percentage of RSI’s beneficiaries in Porto is more than the double of the percentage verified in Lisbon. A compared analysis of a range of RSI data and demographic, economic and social indicators of the two regions is presented in this project, in order to find possible justifications for this potential anomaly. Possible justifications are connected with unemployment, procedural practices, family issues and different enrolment rates to the RSI.
