O ensino da música em Portugal: desde 25 de Abril de 1974

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como propósito principal traçar uma panorâmica do ensino em Portugal desde 1974 até aos dias de hoje, através de uma abordagem do ensino artístico, principalmente do ensino da música. A partir da análise das reformas do ensino português no que diz respeito ao ensino artístico no período mencionado, dos manuais e programas escolares específicos da disciplina de educação musical, procuraremos aferir as tendências filosóficas e pedagógicas por detrás da elaboração dos currículos para o ensino básico, da disciplina. O nosso intuito é descortinar quais os pilares que fundamentaram a construção da Escola no regime democrático conquistado pela Revolução de Abril, qual o lugar do ensino das artes – partindo do ensino da música, geral e especializado - na construção da “democracia plena “ assim como o papel do aluno e do professor nesta demanda.

The first purpose of this work is to draw a general overview the portuguese education system since 1974 to nowadays, by making an approach of artistic education, mainly musical education. By analysing the reforms that the portuguese education has been suffering, mainly the musical education in the period above cited, the school manuals and the curriculum of musical education programs, we are tempting to find the phylosophycal and pedagogical tendencies that are behind the construction of the music education programs. Our aim is to uncover é which are the pillars that substantated the construction of a democratic school, after the “Revolução de Abril”, and which is the place of artistic learning–having vocational an specialized musical learning and education as background – in the construction of a “full democracy”, as well as the function of teachers in that demand.
