Consciência metalinguística: um estudo de caso

Abstract

A presente dissertação trata de um estudo de caso que se integra no âmbito da temática da consciência metalinguística. Este trabalho tem como objecto de estudo a aprendizagem da língua alemã em contexto escolar português. Os intervenientes deste estudo são duas professoras de Alemão, sendo uma falante nativa e outra não, e as respectivas turmas do décimo segundo ano. O estudo desenrolou-se durante o primeiro período do ano lectivo de 2003/2004 e teve como objectivo principal averiguar a forma como a consciência metalinguística se manifesta nas duas professoras. Pretendemos ainda desvendar a forma como os alunos em questão reagem quando deparam com um novo item gramatical em alemão, ou seja, se de entre as estratégias de aprendizagem utilizadas, o recurso à transferência interlinguística tem lugar e qual a importância que os alunos lhe conferem. Para atingir os objectivos a que nos propusemos, procedemos à recolha de inúmeros dados, nomeadamente através da video-gravação de aulas, nas quais foram leccionados dois itens gramaticais, da realização de uma entrevista às professoras e de um inquérito aos alunos. Após o tratamento e análise de todo o corpus recolhido tecemos várias conclusões.

The dissertation we are going to present handles a case study in the field of language awareness. The language we are going to focus on is German as a foreign language in the Portuguese school setting. The subjects of this study are two German language teachers, being one a native speaker and the other one not and their classes of the twelfth grade. This project was developed in the first term of the school year 2003/2004 and its main goal was to ascertain how these two teachers are influenced by language awareness and how this influence reveals itself in their daily practice. We also wanted to find out how learners react when faced with a new grammatical item in German, namely if they use inter-linguistic transfer as a learning strategy. To achieve these goals we collected various kind of data, namely video-tapping of classes in which two grammatical items were taught, one interview with the teachers and a questionnaire for the pupils. After analysing the data we have gathered several conclusions.

Die Arbeit, die hier präsentiert wird, ist ein Studienfall und ist dem Thema Sprachbewusstheit untergeordnet. Das Studienobjekt dieser Arbeit ist das Lernen der deutschen Sprache in dem portugiesischen Schulkontext. Die Teilnehmer dieser Arbeit sind zwei Deutschlehrerinnen, eine Muttersprachensprecherin und die andere nicht, und ihre zwölften Klassen. Dieses Projekt hat fast ausschlieblich im ersten Drittel des Schuljahrs 2003/2004 stattgefunden. Das grundlegende Ziel unserer Arbeit ist festzustellen wie die Sprachbewusstheit sich in diesen zwei Lehrerinnen äubert. Wir wollen auch noch feststellen, wie die Schüler reagieren wenn sie eine neue grammatische Struktur in der deutschen Sprache lernen, das ist, ob sie das inter-linguistische Transfer als Lernstrategie verwenden. Um unsere Ziele zu erreichen haben wir verschiedene Daten gesammelt, vor allem Video-Aufnahmen von Unterrichtsstunden in denen zwei Grammtikstrukturen gelehrt worden sind, ein Interview mit den beiden Lehrerinnen und schriftliche Umfragen an die Schüler. Nachdem wir die Daten bearbeitet und analysiert haben, sind wir zu verschiedenen Schlussfolgerungen gekommen.
