O turismo na Serra da Estrela: a comissão de iniciativa da Covilhã, 1929-1936

Abstract

A presente dissertação tem como objectivo estudar o funcionamento da Comissão de Iniciativa da Covilhã entre 1929 e 1936. Partindo da leitura integral das actas das sessões da Comissão, artigos de jornais e legislação procura-se obter uma visão global do trabalho encetado pelo organismo na conjuntura da política turística nacional da época.

The aim of this Master’s Dissertation is to study the working of the “Comissão de Iniciativa da Covilhã” (“Covilhã Initiative Comission”) between 1929 and 1936. Based on the extensive reading of the meeting’s minutes, newspaper articles and legislation, we sought to obtain an overall view of the work carried out by that body in the broader national tourism policy of the time.
