Bastardia: o grande azul e os seus encantos

Abstract

A escritora Hélia Correia, com a sua obra Bastardia, presenteia-nos com uma mulher que sofre uma metamorfose, passando de infértil, pacata e séria, a fértil e bruxa. Esta transformação tem a ver com o pacto que fez com o Diabo, ajudada pela bruxa da aldeia, para conceber o protagonista da história – Moisés –, filho do mar.

Through her work Bastardia, the writer Hélia Correia, offers us a woman that undergoes a metamorphosis and becomes, from infertile, peaceful and serious, fertile and a witch. This transformation has to do with the pact that she, with the help of the village’s witch, made with the Devil, in order to conceive the main character of the story – Moisés – son of the sea.
