A cultura do chá e a cultura do café: perceção da comunidade chinesa residente em Portugal

Abstract

A presente dissertação pretende estudar os hábitos de consumo de café e de chá da comunidade chinesa residente em Portugal. Por um lado, analisa-se o percurso histórico e o lugar dessas duas bebidas na cultura e hábitos de consumo dos cidadãos dos dois países e, por outro lado, reflete-se sobre o impacto da imersão num novo contexto social e cultural nos hábitos e no estilo de vida de grupos específicos, neste caso em concreto, da comunidade chinesa.

This dissertation aims to study the coffee and tea drinking habits of the Chinese community living in Portugal. On the one hand, it analyses the historical background and importance of these two beverages in the culture and consumption habits of individuals residing in the two countries and, on the other hand, it reflects on the impact of a new social and cultural context on the habits and lifestyle of specific groups, in this particular case, of the Chinese community.
