O ensino-aprendizagem da competência intercultural nas aulas de espanhol de iniciação para alunos portuguese

Abstract

Língua e cultura são atualmente considerados dois aspetos indissociáveis na aprendizagem de uma língua estrangeira. Efetivamente, todos sabem que para se comunicar adequada e eficazmente noutra língua não basta conhecer o seu sistema linguístico, mas é indispensável conhecer toda a componente cultural relativa aos países onde se fala essa língua. Serve o presente trabalho para refletir e contribuir para uma maior consciencialização da importância do tratamento da componente cultural numa perspetiva intercultural nas aulas de língua estrangeira. Para isso, são analisados os documentos orientadores para o ensino-aprendizagem de línguas e dois manuais utilizados na aprendizagem do espanhol como língua estrangeira em Portugal. Depois de ter realizado o nosso estudo, podemos observar que a interculturalidade é efetivamente abordada nas aulas de língua estrangeira, mas os manuais não o fazem diretamente nem de forma óbvia, mas sim implicitamente, e terá que ser o professor a direcionar os alunos para que eles adquiram e desenvolvam a competência intercultural.

Language and culture are currently considered two indissociable aspects in learning a foreign language. Everyone knows that to communicate properly and effectively in another language is not enough to know their language system, but it is essential to know the whole cultural component of the countries where the language is spoken. The present work serves to reflect and contribute to a greater awareness of the importance of the treatment of the cultural component within an intercultural perspective in the classes of foreign language. In order to do so, the guiding documents for language teaching and learning and two manuals used in the teaching of the Spanish as a foreign language in Portugal are analysed. After we concluded our study, we can observe that interculturality is effectively addressed in foreign language classes, but the manuals don’t do it directly or in an obvious way, but rather implicitly, and the teacher will have to direct the students so that they acquire and develop their intercultural competence.
