Doenças cerebrovasculares: tradução comentada de capítulo e glossário

Abstract

A realização deste Projeto enquadra-se no Mestrado em Tradução Especializada em Saúde e Ciências da Vida, organizado pelo Departamento de Línguas e Culturas da Universidade de Aveiro, e consiste na tradução de um capítulo da 3ª edição do livro Harrisons Neurology in Clinical Medicine denominado “Cerebrovascular Diseases”. Para além da tradução realizada através do MemoQ, foi também elaborado um glossário de termos retirados do texto de partida com os seus respetivos equivalentes na língua de chegada. Na parte teórica, irei expor brevemente alguns temas relacionados com as Doenças Cerebrovasculares e a Tradução e irei expor os problemas encontrados durante o processo de tradução do texto e a resolução encontrada neste projeto.

This Project is part of the Master's Degree in Specialized Translation in Health and Life Sciences, organized by the Department of Languages and Cultures of the University of Aveiro, and consists of the translation of a chapter of the 3rd edition of Harrisons Neurology in Clinical Medicine called "Cerebrovascular Diseases". In addition to the translation completed through MemoQ, I also constructed a glossary of terms taken from the source text with their corresponding equivalents in the target language. In the theoretical part, I briefly presented some issues relating to Cerebrovascular Diseases and Translation and exposed the problems encountered during the process of translation of the text and the resolutions found in the ambit of this project.
