expressão, nos finais do século passado. As artes visuais e o
The video technology was marked by the passage from modernity to postmodernity, revealing itself as a heterogeneous medium. It won legitimacy in the artistic field, becoming a technical medium of conceptual experimentation and representation, in performance, in television critic, as an instrument in conception of narratives or as a tool for documentation and projection. In order to obtain recognition and legitimacy, artists and collectives of artists emphasized the importance of video as a medium of expression, in the end of the last century. The visual arts and cinema establish an aesthetic relationship in their discourses. Video-installations and video-tape and film projections expanded as forms of expression, being globally recognized as established works of contemporary art. As to its specificity, the video is, nowadays, seen as belonging to the new media of reproduction of the moving image, because it is not compelled to a particular medium. With the permanent evolution of technology and the invasion of the informatic techniques in video, the aesthetic practices evolved in a relation with the global world where its authors live. |
