The analysis of the fragmentary structure in Augusto Abelaira’s novel Bolor sheds some light on the postmodern fictional devices it resorts to. In so doing, the novel questions all possibility of communication and ultimately of love. Rather than a genre in itself, the fragment thus becomes an existential imperative. |
