A sintomatologia psicopatológica
apresenta valores de evitamento mais elevados The purpose of the study presented here is related to the fact that the problem of domestic violence is multidimensional and complex, which must be studied and analyzed in all the aspects, constituting a contribution to better understand all the experience experienced by the victim. Thus, this cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational study intends essentially to know and characterize the variables underlying women victims of domestic violence as well as to contribute to a theoretical and clinical knowledge and more effective interventions in this area. To that end, a sample of 33 participants who were victims of Domestic Violence (VD) and accompanied by the Victims of Domestic Violence Center of Viseu (NAVVD) were collected in 2018 and a sociodemographic questionnaire, Inventory of Psychopathological Symptoms (BSI), Relative Intimacy Rating Scale (PAIR), Relational Relationships-Relational Structures (ERP-ER), and Posttraumatic Development Inventory (PTGI) were apllied. The results obtained allow us to conclude that the victims present greater symptomatology in the dimensions of obsession-compulsion, anxiety, as well as paranoid ideation. The symptomatology does not correlate with the sociodemographic characteristics of the victims. The group that is not currently in the relationship indicates a greater perception of personal resources and competences and the strengthening of interpersonal relationships. The group in a relationship has higher avoidance values |
