Dificuldades de alunos venezuelanos na aprendizagem da língua portuguesa: o caso dos falsos amigos

Abstract

O presente trabalho propõe-se analisar a problemática dos falsos amigos na aprendizagem do português. Optou-se por analisar o caso dos alunos de origem venezuelana, que frequentam a disciplina de Português Língua Não Materna. Pediu-se aos alunos que participaram neste projeto que respondessem a uma breve entrevista, sendo esta precedida de um Questionário Sociolinguístico, e de um teste de Auto Perceção de Competências Linguísticas e um teste de Compreensão Leitora. Os resultados obtidos apontam para a presença de interferência de falsos amigos no processo de aprendizagem da língua portuguesa por parte dos alunos venezuelanos. Este trabalho pretende assim contribuir para uma maior consciencialização por parte dos docentes de Português Língua Não Materna das dificuldades que os alunos venezuelanos enfrentam, tentando promover uma aprendizagem mais satisfatória e um desenvolvimento da competência linguística mais eficaz

This project aims to study the problem of false friends in the learning process of the Portuguese language. The author chose to analyze the case of Venezuelan students that recently came to Portugal. The students are enrolled in a class of portuguese as a foreign language. The students were asked to answer a sociolinguistic questionnaire, a test of self-evaluated linguistic competence, a test of written comprehension in portuguese as well as a brief interview. The results of this process suggest that false friends interfere with the process of learning portuguese by the Venezuelan students. With this work, the author aims to help the teachers of portuguese as a foreign language to be fully aware of the needs of the Venezuelan students, while trying to promote a more satisfying learning process, and a more effective development of the language
