Relatório de estágio em tradução especializada em saúde e ciências da vida

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em Tradução Especializada, em Saúde e Ciências da Vida da Universidade de Aveiro, na empresa de tradução AP|PORTUGAL tem como objetivo incidir sobre o trabalho realizado no decorrer do período de seis meses de estágio. Este relatório está dividido em vários capítulos, sendo que o primeiro incide sobre a análise da empresa, do seu perfil, dos métodos e ferramentas utilizados no processo de tradução e que funcionam como uma forma de auxílio do tradutor. Segue-se um capítulo dedicado a aspetos teóricos da tradução, à fundamentação, ao conhecimento dos alicerces e dos aspetos que permitem que um tradutor adquira conhecimentos sobre o que é e o que representa a tradução. Ainda de ressaltar a importância do texto científico, o qual está na base do trabalho do tradutor da área da saúde e das ciências da vida. Cabe ainda fazer menção ao último capítulo, o qual reflete sobre todo o trabalho realizado ao longo de seis meses de estágio. Neste capítulo teremos uma análise dos principais problemas encontrados e das respetivas soluções, das dificuldades e dos conhecimentos adquiridos.

This report was carried out in the scope of the Masters Degree in Specialized Translation in Health and Life Sciences, of the Universidade de Aveiro, during the internship carried out at the translation company AP|PORTUGAL, and has as its main goal the work carried out during the six-month traineeship period. This report is divided into several chapters, the first of which focuses on the analysis of the company, its profile, the methods and tools used in the translation process and which act as a form of translator assistance. The following chapter is dedicated to theoretical aspects of translation, to the framework, to the knowledge of the foundations and the aspects that allow a translator to acquire knowledge about what translation represents. It is important to emphasize the importance of scientific text, which is the basis of the work of the translator in the area of health and life sciences. The last chapter analyses all the work carried out during the six-month traineeship. In this chapter, we will analyse the main problems encountered and their solutions, difficulties and the knowledge acquired.
