Alberto Ponce : “La musique avant tout” : sonoridade e digitações

Abstract

O presente trabalho pretende homenagear Alberto Ponce. Pretende ainda contribuir para um mais profundo conhecimento e reconhecimento da vida e obra do guitarrista e pedagogo Alberto Ponce. Situa Ponce na história da guitarra e, aborda as constantes preocupações na vida de um guitarrista – sonoridade e digitações. Foram sensivelmente mil e quinhentos alunos, vindos de todo o mundo, que durante cinquenta anos, estudaram com Alberto Ponce na École Normale de Musique de Paris, facto que leva a questionar a sua dimensão de pedagogo. Será feita uma observação das digitações em partituras utilizadas nas aulas com Ponce e, uma análise às suas interpretações gravadas em vinil e CD, no sentido de compreender e caracterizar as suas opções a esse níveis. A sua observação pretende aferir se, no conjunto destes elementos, será possível identificar o conceito – escola Alberto Ponce.

This Work intends to honour Alberto Ponce. It also aims to contribute to a deeper knowledge and recognition of the life and work of the guitarist and pedagogue Alberto Ponce. It situates Ponce in the history of the guitar and approaches the constant concerns in the life of a guitarist – sonority and fingering. There were approximately one thousand and five hundred students from all over the world, who for fifty years, studied with Alberto Ponce at the École Normale de Musique de Paris, a fact that leads us to his importance as a pedagogue. An observation of the fingering in the musical scores used in Ponce’s classes and an analysis of is interpretations recorded on vinyl and CD will be made, in order to understand and characterize his options at these levels. Taking in account the whole of these elements, this observation aims to assess the possibility to identify the concept: Alberto Ponce school.
