biochar.
feitos ensaios a diferentes humidades (0%, 15%, 45% e 65%) e diferentes
temperaturas (400ºC e 500ºC).
massa volúmica verdadeira, a massa volúmica a granel e a dispersão
In this work it was possible to understand how the thermochemical conversion of the biomass is processed, in this case slow pyrolysis, to which operating conditions it is possible to obtain biochar and what its properties. The properties of biochar are significantly influenced by the characteristics of the raw material and the pyrolysis conditions. The results show that: temperature is one of the factors that influence the pyrolysis process and consequently the biochar properties. A study was performed in which the same raw materials were tested at different humidities (0%, 15%, 45% and 65%) and at different temperatures (400ºC and 500ºC). The results obtained showed significant differences, and temperature was the parameter that most influenced these results. As the temperature increased, it was possible to visualize a considerable increase in the ash content, pH and electrical conductivity and several changes in the pyrolytic yield, from the decrease of the biochar yield with the increase in temperature. A study was also carried out on the true bulk density, the bulk density and the biochar dispersion of the different sludge. The biochar from the sludge from the C plant was the one with the highest values of pH and electrical conductivity, which may be related to the high ash content. On the other hand, the biochar of the installation A and B had similar results, which could also be influenced by the characteristics of the sludge. |
