The following design thesis contemplates the development of a new vending machine system, as well as a new style of automated vending service as far as working dynamics and agents are concerned. It incorporates the newest technologies of cashless payment and wireless money transfer in addition to the current credit/debit technologies available. In addition, it seeks to innovate and develop on new solutions for all-around format, presentation and service style, as to enable the introduction of automated vending to markets and contexts (location and situationwise) not yet explored by any other product. It seeks toestablish a new kind of empathetic link with its customer through organic, vivid and human- like patterns, setting itself apart from the overly logical and"cold" usual interaction with such machines, seeking to change the current stygma of such machines as a "last resort" to accquiring a meal or drink. |
