dc.description.abstract | This paper describes the development of a simulation study for the analysis of an important part of a factory which refers to the transformation of cork into stoppers that are 100 % natural. The aim of the simulation model is to assess the productive flow through the analysis of performance indicators such as the lead time, the rate of utilization of the simulated resources, as well as the respective queues. After the detailed analysis of the system, a plan of action is devised with suggestions of improvements for implementing in the near future for addressing the main problems. | pt |
