This Master Degree dissertation is based in a case study, made with 10 third and fourth year students, all Cape Verde naturals that later integrated the Portuguese school system, specifically in the First Grade Basic Scholl of the Cova da Moura, with kinder garden included. The study incised in the sessions performed with these students, in which were developed work tools named Language Diary and Linguistic Biography and were also made interviews with the learners. In this type of description and interpretative approach of emerged language and sociological factors we stated that the Capeverdian Crioulo, as the learners maternal language, interfered in the Portuguese teaching-learning. We noticed the interference of the Capeverdian Crioulo in the Portuguese writing, mainly in the verbal flexion, gender and number, in the use of prepositions and articles. The personal family and social representation of the languages interferes in the school experiences of these learners, showing a patent language status in their oral speech. We stated that the contact between the portuguese and capeverdian languages allowed contrasting and reflective activities, a gradual conscience of the learners about the languages and the writing, as well as the strengthening of a linguistical education in our ever more multicultural and interethnical society. |
