For everyday can be understood what encompasses the routine, ordinary, daily life, although is always a much more complex word that represents something indeterminable and, the simple task of describes everything that makes part of it, is such ambiguous too. That quality of being ambiguous and indeterminable is prized by some artists since the beginning of the XX century (Johnstone, 2008:15). The Dadaists developed a social critique about the culture, because for them the modern daily life was marked by repetitive and vulgar works, justified by the need to produce a society which stated capitalist, in a clear renunciation of pleasure. This study proposes an analysis of the evolution of different forms of using everyday in art since the Dadaists till today. Referring few contemporary artists who are motivated by everyday life and for what he gives us, in the same willingness to reshape, to value and not let lost or closed events, objects and experiences. The barrier of public and private becomes increasingly blurred, following as well the demands of a society increasingly exposed. |
