internet do Agrupamento.
2001).
escolaridade. This study addresses the issue of writing production in terms of orthography and text, with the main objective of analyzing the quality of the texts and the amount of spelling errors found in written productions of students from the 4th and 6th years of schooling. To this end, we asked children from the 4th and 6th years of a group of schools from Aveiro to write a descriptive text about their school and the best ones were placed on the group’s website. These texts were analyzed on two levels: analysis of students' spelling errors and their organization in types of error (Araújo, Mieiro, & Martins, 2007) and an analysis of text/discourse in relation with their textual organization adequacy and descriptive text characteristics (Adam, 2001). In this study, the textual profile of 150 children and adolescents where analyzed, in order to understand if the academic progression from the 4th to the 6th is being made progressively, that is, if the textual quality is superior as the school years progress. The results show that there is no real progress from 1st to 2nd cycle. Also it is not possible to confirm that an improvement of skills (spelling and textual) exist at the end of 2nd cycle. |
