dc.description.abstract | Objectives: This study aims to study the pragmatic skills of humor and sarcasm in children with autism. Methods: Ten jokes of different kinds were recorded and applied to two students with autism belonging to different age groups and two students without this problem, also in the same age group. We studied the ability of each child to correctly interpret and understand a joke, as well as the reaction that each had. We also listened to the opinion of the informant of each joke. Results and Conclusions: Students with autism showed clear difficulties in understanding the jokes, because they did not understand their implicatures. They reacted in some moments of the application, mainly when the anecdotes flouted the maxim of quality. They reported to like all the anecdotes presented. | por |
