No
Neste estudo, enquadrado numa metodologia do tipo investigação-ação,
The study we developed is in the areas of linguistic diversity awareness and the teaching of grammar in primary school. Its main purpose was to build knowledge in the area of grammar didactics, namely in terms of morphological and lexical knowledge, also aiming at understanding how far activities whose purpose is to develop linguistic awareness in the mother tongue can raise awareness to linguistic diversity. In order to answer the questions raised in our study, we designed and implemented a didactical intervention project made up of 6 sessions where the whole group worked together. In these sessions several topics were approached, such as noun formation processes by derivation and composition (erudite radicals), according to the orientations that are part of the curriculum for the Portuguese Language, using an approach close to the "grammar laboratory". When teaching the contents the curriculum requires, activities of linguistic diversity awareness were included, through the use of units of language from Romance Languages. In the present study, inscribed in a methodological approach of investigationaction, were involved the investigator, responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating the intervention project, and 19 students from a 3rd grade class of a school in the District of Viseu. The data were collected through direct observation of the students' behavior and attitudes, through the analysis of the written reflections students produced at the end of each session of the intervention project, from the field notes of the investigator and from the questionnaires the participants answered before and after the implementation of the intervention project. The data collected were then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results show that the classroom use of observation, manipulation and reflection activities with language units in different languages promote the development of a plurilingual linguistic awareness, namely in the areas of morphological and lexical awareness, stimulating the development of positive attitudes towards linguistic diversity. The results also indicate students show a greater openness and acceptance of activities related to the development of explicit knowledge, when they are given the possibility to observe and manipulate language units in other languages. |
