Sociedade voluntária: motivação e características em 2011

Abstract

Estudar a realidade do trabalho voluntário em Portugal não é novidade, nem é um fenómeno recente, mas afigurou-se antes como necessário, sobretudo se tivermos em consideração que este tema é amplo. Este varia tanto nas áreas geográficas de intervenção como nas áreas de trabalho e ainda, na diversidade de pessoas, pertencentes a diversos estatutos sociais, com diferentes níveis de educação, idade, motivação, história de vida e expectativas, que decidem realizar voluntariado. Esta dissertação pretende avaliar as motivações e características da sociedade voluntária. Propõe-se divulgar as mais significativas características existentes nos voluntários, no caso português, bem como o levantamento nas suas motivações para contribuírem para o trabalho voluntário, a fim de encontrarmos padrões, que possam favorecer as próprias organizações nas suas campanhas de recrutamento e sensibilização.

Studying the reality of volunteer work in Portugal is not new, n or is a recent phenomenon, but it seemed rather necessary, especially if we consider that this topic is diverse. Probabilities to volunteer vary both in geographical areas of intervention and areas of work and also in background, social status, education, age, motivation and expectations of the volunteers. This dissertation aims to evaluate the motivations and characteristics of the Portuguese volunteer society. The purpose of this dissertation is to estimate the most significant features existing in the Portuguese volunteers and the evaluate their motivations on contributing to volunteer work in order to find patterns that my help organizations in their consciousness and recruitment campaigns.
