O registo clínico eletrónico na avaliação da afasia por AVC

Abstract

Mundialmente assiste-se a mudanças na sociedade fomentadas, em grande parte, pelo recurso crescente a tecnologias da informação e da comunicação (TIC). Essas mudanças, a par com as alterações demográficas que se verificam, contribuem, a nível da saúde, para a urgente necessidade de desenvolvimento de um paradigma no qual o utente esteja no centro do processo e tenha um papel activo no mesmo. Num sistema centrado no utente, o registo de saúde eletrónico (RSE) pode ser uma ferramenta estratégica indispensável. Este trabalho propõe-se a demonstrar a importância das TIC na melhoria da prestação de cuidados em terapia da fala. Tendo em conta a constatação do crescente número de casos de acidentes vasculares cerebrais, e as suas consequências no indivíduo e na sociedade, nomeadamente, a afasia, e da não utilização e recurso de RSE na avaliação de afasia, em Portugal, a autora deste trabalho propôs-se a conceptualizar um modelo de informação que permita efetuar o registo eletrónico da avaliação da pessoa com afasia.

Worldwide, it is possible to see changes in society which, to a considerable extent, are sponsored by the massive use of information and communication technologies. These changes, along with the demographic changes that also take place, contribute to an urgent need of developing a different paradigm in health care, in which the patient is in the center of the healing process and plays an active role. Therefore, in a health care system based on such premisses, the electronic health record may become a fundamental and strategical tool. This document intends to demonstrate the importance of the use of information and communication technologies in speech therapy. After realizing that in Portugal there is an increase in the number of strokes, which carries heavy consequences to the individual and the society, like aphasia, and that there is still not an electronic health record to register the information of an aphasia assessment, the author of this document established the goal to conceptualize a model that allows to register electronically the information obtained by the assessment of a person with aphasia.
