A China e Portugal num mundo pós-pandemia: recuperação e aprofundamento das relações interculturais e económicas

Abstract

Desde a sua eclosão, em 2019, a pandemia provocada pelo coronavírus SARS-CoV-2, além da questão sanitária e perdas humanas, teve também um impacto significativo na economia mundial. As consequências negativas a este nível tornaram-se ainda mais vincadas quando, em fevereiro de 2022, se assistiu ao início da guerra na Europa. O objetivo desta dissertação é o de estudar a situação económica da China e de Portugal desde a pandemia e as medidas tomadas pelos respetivos Governos para recuperar as suas economias. Através deste estudo comparativo, é possível, por um lado, compreender o atual estado de recuperação económica nos dois países e, por outro lado, refletir sobre o impacto destes dois eventos recentes nas relações sino-portuguesas, assim como apontar para os principais desafios a vencer e as oportunidades que podemos criar.

Since its outbreak in 2019, the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, in addition to the health issues and human losses, has also had a significant impact on the world economy. The negative consequences at this level became even more pronounced when February 2022 saw the outbreak of war in Europe. The aim of this work is to study the economic situation of China and Portugal since the pandemic and the measures taken by their respective governments to recover their economies. Through this comparative study, it is possible, on the one hand, to understand the current state of economic recovery in both countries and, on the other hand, to reflect on the impact of these two recent events on Sino-Portuguese relations, as well as to point out the main challenges to overcome and the opportunities that could be created.
