As fábulas e os bestiários na literatura de recepção infantil contemporânea

Abstract

Este estudo pretende proceder a uma reflexão sobre a possibilidade de leitura de obras literárias contemporâneas de recepção infantil à luz do género fabulístico, articulando-o ainda com o conto de animais e os bestiários. Para tal, procede a uma sucinta reflexão sobre alguns dos princípios teóricos dos géneros em questão, dando ainda conta, de forma breve, do desenvolvimento da fábula na história da literatura infantil portuguesa.

The objective of this study is to reflect upon the reading of representative works of contemporary children’s literature, particularly fables, by relating them to animal and bestiary texts. The study includes a brief reflection on some of the main theoretical principles of the aforementioned genres, taking into account the development of fables throughout the history of Portuguese children’s literature.
