Turismo e religião no espaço lusófono

Abstract

Este ensaio propõe, a partir de levantamento teórico, discutir sobre lusofonia no contexto das reflexões sobre memória e identidade das comunidades de língua portuguesa, a partir de algumas ideias que unem e relacionam os temas colonialismo, pós-colonialismo, lusofonia e turismo. Entendendo a relevância do património material e imaterial para a história, memória e identidade em contextos diversos – e, neste trabalho, destacamos a religião como forte elemento cultural –, apresentamos o turismo cultural como potencial impulsor e propagador deste património lusófono e como oportunidade de aproveitá-lo como atrativo.

This paper aims to discuss about lusophony, using theoretical research, in the context of reflections on memory and identity of the Portuguese-speaking communities using some ideas that connect and relate themes as colonialism, post-colonialism, lusophony and tourism. Understanding the relevance of the material and immaterial heritage to history, memory and identity in different contexts – in this work we include the religion perspective – cultural tourism is presented as a potential driver and propagator of this lusophone heritage and as an opportunity to make it a touristic attractive.
