A importância da qualidade na tradução: relatório de estágio na Dokutech

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em Tradução Especializada, na Universidade de Aveiro, apresenta o trabalho levado a cabo durante o estágio curricular com a duração de 15 semanas na empresa de tradução Dokutech, com os seguintes pares de línguas Inglês-Português e Alemão-Português. Este relatório está dividido em cinco partes: empresa e as ferramentas de auxílio à tradução utilizadas, enquadramento teórico, revisão de literatura, resultados e reflexão sobre os conhecimentos. Uma parte inicial que é constituída pela descrição da empresa e na qual as ferramentas utilizadas são apresentadas, de seguida é realizado um enquadramento teórico. Posteriormente, é realizada uma revisão de literatura com recurso a um projeto traduzido em estágio. Trata-se de um questionário da área da tradução médica, cuja tradução tem como língua de partida o inglês e como língua de chegada o português do Brasil. Nesta parte do relatório são analisados os resultados da revisão. O relatório é concluído com uma reflexão sobre os conhecimentos adquiridos, a nível técnico e a nível da qualidade, em contexto de estágio curricular.

This report was carried out as part of the master´s degree in Specialized Translation at the University of Aveiro, presents the work that was carried out during the 15-week internship at the translation company Dokutech, with the following language pairs English-Portuguese and German-Portuguese. This report is divided into five parts: the company and the translation tools used, theoretical framework, literature review, results, reflection on the knowledge acquired. An initial part made up by the company description and it is where the tools used are presented, followed by a theoretical framework. Subsequently, a literature review is carried out using a project translated during the internship. The project is a questionnaire in medical translation, with English as the source language and Portuguese (BR) as the target language. In this part of the report the results of the review are analyzed. The report is concluded with a reflection on the knowledge acquired, at the technical and quality levels, in the context of the curricular internship.
