Educação física e desenvolvimento positivo: narrativas de alunos do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico

Abstract

O presente relatório foi desenvolvido no âmbito do Mestrado em Educação Pré- Escolar e Ensino do 1ºCiclo do Ensino Básico, decorrente do trabalho realizado em duas unidades curriculares, Prática Pedagógica Supervisionada e Seminário de Orientação Educacional. Este documento reflete o desenvolvimento da prática pedagógica em contexto de Educação Pré-Escolar e do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico tendo em consideração as necessidades educativas dos envolvidos. Nestes contextos foi analisado o desenvolvimento pessoal e motor dos intervenientes. Desta forma, foram planificadas e levadas a cabo atividades que visaram desenvolver competências positivas essenciais ao crescimento pessoal, social e motor das crianças. Em ambos os contextos foram planificados dois projetos de investigação – ação, com o objetivo de melhorar as relações interpessoais e o desempenho motor dos intervenientes. Apesar do projeto de investigação referente ao 1º CEB não ter sido colocado em prática, descrevem-se neste relatório todas as fases essenciais a sua execução. Este projeto surge após a análise de diversos estudos, cada vez mais frequentes na área de Educação Física, sobre a relação entre a Educação Física e o desenvolvimento motor e positivo das crianças. Assim, o trabalho empírico apresentado neste relatório pretendia compreender de que forma a aplicação do desenvolvimento positivo, durante as aulas de EF, melhoraria as relações interpessoais e o desempenho motor. Optámos por uma metodologia de investigação-ação de natureza exploratória, visando abordar um tema sobre o qual ainda existe reduzida pesquisa. Para tal, é de salientar que este projeto surge articulado com jogos cooperativos e atividades de ginástica. Para a recolha de dados optou-se, entre outros, pelas narrativas imagéticas descritivas, uma forma de recolha de dados que permite compreender o mais profundamente possível a vida dos participantes. A análise dos dados prenderse- ia, principalmente, em termos de conteúdo, numa base interpretativa e holística.

This report was developed within the scope of the master’s degree in Pre-school Education and Teaching in the 1st cycle of Basic Education, resulting from the work carried out in two curricular units, Supervised Pedagogical Practice and Educational Orientation Seminar. This document reflects the development of pedagogical practice in the context of Pre-School Education and the 1st Cycle of Basic Education considering the educational needs of those involved. In these contexts, the personal and motor development of the stakeholders was analyzed. In this way, activities were planned and carried out to develop positive skills essential to children's personal, social and motor growth. In both contexts, two research-action projects were planned, with the objective of improving interpersonal relationships and the motor performance of the stakeholders. Although the research project related to the 1st CEB has not been put into practice, this report describes all the essential phases for its execution. This project comes after the analysis of several studies, more and more frequent in the area of Physical Education, on the relationship between Physical Education and the motor and positive development of children. Thus, the empirical work presented in this report intended to understand how the application of positive development, during PE classes, would improve interpersonal relationships and motor performance. We opted for an exploratory action-research methodology, aiming to address a topic on which there is still limited research. To this end, it should be noted that this project appears in conjunction with cooperative games and gymnastic activities. For data collection, we opted, among others, for descriptive image narratives, a form of data collection that allows us to understand the lives of the participants as deeply as possible. The analysis of the data would mainly be in terms of content, on an interpretive and holistic basis.
