educativos. A diversidade de níveis de aprendizagem e de desenvolvimento,
a diversidade de níveis de bem-estar emocional e de implicação exigem a
mobilização de diferentes metodologias e estratégias de ensino e de
aprendizagem.
Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico.
professora/educadora investigadora, desde sempre me defrontei com a
questão: como posso responder bem a todas as crianças?
algo incessante e sempre inacabado. Um desafio permanente! It is our conviction that the great challenge of education is to deal adequately with the diversity that exists in the most varied educational contexts. The diversity of levels of learning and development, the diversity of levels of emotional well-being and involvement require the mobilization of different teaching and learning methodologies and strategies. Serving each and every one of the children using pedagogical differentiation was the challenge that we embraced in our pedagogical practice, with a 2nd grade class and a group of kindergarten children, under the master’s degree of Pre-School Education and Primary School. During our internship, we came across two groups of very heterogeneous children, with different developmental characteristics, with varied learning paces and with very different general levels of emotional well-being and involvement. As a teacher/educator investigator, I have always been faced with the question: how can I respond well to all children? How to develop a more inclusive teaching practice? Considering these issues, we looked for ways of working that would help and lead to more inclusive and respectful practices for each child, since the use of a single methodology was insufficient to respond to all children. The intervention sessions were planned and streamlined, seeking to meet the interests and suggestions of all children. At the end of the internship period, it was found that the general levels of emotional well-being and involvement of both groups had risen, with improvements also being observed in terms of learning and development of most children. We understand that the quality of relationships established and the quality of teaching practices result from an attitude of empathy and an effort to adapt different activities to children. These attitudes are inherent to the pedagogical differentiation process, and the search for the best answers for each child is something incessant and always unfinished. A permanent challenge! |
