Iniciação às tecnologias da música: uma investigação a nível nacional

Abstract

Este projecto é o resultado de uma reflexão sobre o que é ser aluno no curso secundário especializado de música do século XXI. É uma indagação sobre as motivações musicais do aluno contemporâneo e da pertinência em trazer para a sala de aula essa contemporaneidade. Somos diariamente bombardeados por tecnologia, existe já um século de prática de música electrónica, alguns cursos de ensino superior de música têm prática abrangente de tecnologias da música, nomeadamente de música electrónica nos seus currículos, sem nenhum suporte no ensino secundário especializado de música. Dentro deste panorama surgiu a ideia de implementar uma cadeira de tecnologia da música no curso secundário do Ensino especializado de música, que terá como núcleo principal a criação, a improvisação e a performance de música feita por computador. O presente trabalho propõe assim, uma investigação sobre a implementação de uma disciplina de iniciação às tecnologias da música no curso secundário do ensino artístico especializado da música. A pesquisa decorreu a nível nacional (Portugal Continental e Regiões autónomas) onde se pretendeu perceber o interesse e pertinência quanto à abertura desta disciplina. Os resultados apontam para um expressivo interesse na abertura de uma disciplina vinculada às tecnologias da música, mas com constrangimentos no que concerne a financiamento para a sua implementação.

This project is the result of a reflection on what it is to be an upper secondary school student specialized in music, in the XXI century. It is an enquiry about the musical motivations of the contemporary student and the pertinence in bringing that contemporaneity into the classroom. We are bombarded by technology, daily. There is already a century of electronic music practice and some higher education courses in music have a comprehensive practice of music technologies, namely electronic music in their curricula, without any support in secondary schools of specialized music instruction. Within this panorama the idea came about to implement a discipline in music technology in upper secondary schools within specialized music education, where the main nucleus is creation, improvisation and computer music performance. The present work proposes research in the implementation of an introductionary discipline to music technology in the secondary education of specialized music instruction. In order to understand the relevance of the existence of this subject, the research took place on the national scale (Mainland Portugal and Autonomous Regions) where the interest and pertinence regarding the introduction of this discipline was intended. The results point to a strong interest in opening up a subject linked to music technologies, but with constraints in terms of funding for its implementation.
