| pt_PT |
dc.description.abstract | This project report intends to make known the entire assembly and execution process concretized by the master's degree in the project titled “Da herança à criação” - From inheritance to creation. In a first phase, the project's confluence element is presented: the text Magnificat. As far as the inheritance is concerned, four Magnificat characteristics of the portuguese polyphony are transcribed and analyzed in the fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth tones. Attributed to Pedro de Cristo, these copies can be consulted in the General Library of Coimbra. Establishing a harmonious dialogue and in order to enrich the heritage of Sacred Music, four contemporary composers - Eugénio Amorim, Fernando C. Lapa, João Santos and Paulo Banaco - generously created the Magnificat on the other tones (first, second, third and seventh). In the 400th year the anniversary of the death of the renaissance composer, this event is marked with the performance of a concert and later the edition and publication of this set of eight Magnificat, composed from the eight tones of recitation. | pt_PT |
