Motivação dos trabalhadores da indústria e dos serviços em Portugal: fatores que a potenciam e a minimizam

Abstract

A motivação pode ser uma grande ferramenta para uma boa produtividade laboral. Para a potenciar, importa saber quais são os fatores que realmente a influenciam, sendo o objetivo do presente trabalho perceber o que motiva os trabalhadores dos setores da indústria e dos serviços em Portugal. Este estudo analisa o conceito de motivação no trabalho e as principais teorias motivacionais conhecidas. No sentido de averiguar quais são os fatores que mais motivam e desmotivam os trabalhadores, foram realizadas entrevistas e um inquérito a trabalhadores da indústria e dos serviços. Através deste estudo, foi possível concluir que a identificação com a tarefa, as relações interpessoais e as condições laborais são fulcrais para que haja motivação no trabalho

Motivation can be an important aspect for work productivity. In order to increase it, it is important to know what are the factors that really influence it, and the purpose of this study is to understand what motivates workers in the industry and services sectors in Portugal. This study analyses the concept of motivation at work and the main known motivational theories. In order to explore the factors that motivate and discourage workers, interviews and surveys were carried out with workers from industry and services. Through this study, it was possible to conclude that the identification with the task, the interpersonal relations and the working conditions are central to motivation at work
