dc.description.abstract | It was prepared two samples of nickel ferrite synthesized by the sol-gel method, using as precursors nickel nitrate and iron nitrate in a 1:1 ratio which were later dissolved in acid in different proportions in samples 1 and 2 for gel formation. The process of calcination of the samples was carried out at 800ºC in a horizontal tube furnace and a microwave oven during the same period of time. Intention was to compare the results of two samples calcined in both devices. Structural characterizations were performed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) which was not obtained a single phase of NiFe2O4 on the two samples. The electrical characterization revealed a high value of dielectric constant in samples showing low dielectric losses and compared the results between samples. In the case of magnetic characterization was found that the samples had low magnetization compared with the "bulk" and it was found that the thermal treatment in the microwave samples resulted in higher values of magnetic saturation and magnetic remanescent compared to thermal treatment in the furnace. | - |
