O fado popular e erudito: influência do fado na obra de Alexandre Rey Colaço e seus discípulos

Abstract

O presente trabalho propõe-se estudar a forma que compositores de música erudita encontraram para transformar a melodia popular do fado, através dum instrumento como o piano que apresenta várias possibilidades polifónicas e texturais. Não menos importante, é o reconhecimento de nomes pouco divulgados, que contribuíram em parceria com poetas, guitarristas e fadistas, para que esta canção nacional fosse distinguida como Património Imaterial da Humanidade. Como metodologia de trabalho, recorreu-se ao levantamento bibliográfico dos compositores e da história do fado, conjuntamente com a experiência e conhecimento empírico no momento de análise das partituras e preparação do momento da performance.

The work proposes to study the way that composers of western-arte music found to transform the popular melody of fado, through an instrument like the piano that that presents several polyphonic and textural possibilities.. No less important, it is the recognition of little-known names, which contributed in partnership with poets, guitarists and fadistas, so that this national song was distinguished as Intangible Heritage of Humanity. As a working methodology, we used the literature review of the composers and the history of fado, together with the experience and empirical knowledge at the time of analysis of the scores and preparation for the performance.
