Competências do tradutor e gestor de projetos na aplicação da Norma ISO em contexto de estágio

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio tem por base a atividade desenvolvida num estágio curricular realizado na JABA-Translations. Durante o estágio foram realizadas tarefas de gestão de projetos e de tradução, sendo as áreas e as competências de quem desempenha esta função descritas neste trabalho. Além disso, este relatório descreve detalhadamente a entidade de acolhimento, a sua estrutura, os recursos humanos e não-humanos e o seu fluxo de trabalho de tradução. Relativamente à vertente prática, encontram-se descritas as tarefas realizadas durante o estágio curricular e uma reflexão crítica sobre as competências em tradução e gestão de projetos, a norma ISO e a sua articulação com a formação em tradução especializada. Por fim, são analisados os textos de partida da área da saúde e ciências da vida e os problemas e dificuldades de traduções encontrados, bem como a forma como foram resolvidos

This report is based on the activities carried out during a curricular internship at JABA-Translations. During the internship, several tasks involving translation and project management were performed, the agents and fields of which are described in this report. In addition, this report aims to describe the company in detail, outlining its structure, its human and non-human resources and its translation workflow. Practice-wise, the tasks performed during the internship are presented in this work as well as the competencies acquired and their correlation with formal training in Specialised Translation. Lastly, the target texts belonging to the field of health and life sciences, along with the translation problems and difficulties, as well as the solutions found and the approach taken, are analysed
