| pt |
dc.description.abstract | The rehabilitation of structures has evolved considerably over the last few years. A rehabilitation intervention can go through a simple repair, in order to restore the original terms of safety parameters of the structure or, in a deeper perspective, may be necessary other measures aimed at raise the safety terms of the structures towards the current requirements. The characterization of the type of intervention requires a detailed knowledge of the existing structure, not only in terms of its degradation state, but also its structural behaviour. There is lots of information related to the rehabilitation of reinforced concrete structures, but lacks documents where all this information comes presented in an integrated manner and objective. Given the above paragraphs, this work tries to address the main subjects on the different techniques of reinforced concrete elements with the addition of metal sheets and elaborate a methodology of study through numerical modelling to select, according to the different circumstances, the best solution, using practical examples to demonstrate. So, this work pretends to create a guide about how to exanimate a structure that needs intervention, choosing the best resource for the final purpose. | pt |
