Redes multiplicativas e soletos: aprendizagens matemáticas com sentido

Abstract

Com este projeto de investigação pretende-se estudar as implicações do contexto cultural nas aprendizagens matemáticas. Em particular, procura-se analisar como é que as crianças se vão apropriando do novo conceito de rede multiplicativa e o mobilizam num ambiente cultural aberto de resolução de problemas, explorando um elemento económico e cultural da região: o ‘soleto’. Os resultados obtidos permitiram concluir que o processo de exploração e construção das redes multiplicativas (envolvendo a descoberta de relações matemáticas e a realização de cálculos com base no conhecimento prévio) e de resolução de problemas, que giram em torno do ´soleto´, se torna significativo e emotivo, num ´landscape learning´ em que tudo parece fazer sentido para a criança.

The aim of this research project is to study the implications of the cultural context in mathematics learning. In particular, it seeks to analyze how the children go appropriating the new concept of multiplicative network and mobilize an open cultural environment of problem solving, exploring an economic and cultural element of the region: 'soleto'. The results showed that the process of exploration and construction of multiplicative networks (involving the discovery of mathematical relationships and performing calculations, appealing to prior knowledge) and problem solving, which revolve around the ´soleto´, becomes significant, and emotional, in a ´landscape learning´ process where everything seems to make sense for the child.
