Suporte áudio pedagógico para o estudo do repertório de quarteto de saxofones

Abstract

O presente estudo procurou verificar qual o impacto nos alunos na utilização de um suporte áudio de apoio ao estudo individual do repertório para quarteto de saxofones. Existem várias ferramentas de apoio a um estudo semelhante, área na qual vários saxofonistas e compositores elaboraram métodos e livros de peças com suporte áudio. Contudo, não existe este tipo de apoio para música de câmara, mais especificamente para quarteto de saxofones. Foi gravado de origem repertório de dois estilos musicais distintos, para quarteto de saxofones, destinado aos alunos do ensino complementar, em regime supletivo (6º, 7º e 8º grau), onde o suporte áudio de apoio ao estudo contém faixas detalhadas: faixa de afinação; faixa com a obra musical completa; faixas com vozes isoladas e faixa com a obra musical sem uma das vozes. A análise de dados foi feita através da comparação dos resultados observados no decorrer das aulas. Os resultados indicam a existência de uma notável diferença na preparação do repertório, com ou sem suporte áudio de apoio ao estudo. O repertório trabalhado com suporte de estudo áudio, revelou melhores indicadores na preparação individual dos alunos, na motivação para o estudo das partituras e por consequente, maior gestão do grupo e do tempo de aula, levando a uma maior eficácia e rapidez na preparação do programa.

The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of audio support on the individual study of quartet repertoire on saxophone students. Similar audio-supported study tools exist, such as saxophone methods with audio support developed by saxophonists and composers, but there are no existing methods indicated to support the study of chamber music, or more specifically, saxophone quartet repertoire. A recording of two saxophone quartet works has been made, each with contrasting musical styles and appropriate for the study of saxophone students of the 6th, 7th and 8th grade of the Portuguese music education system. Each recording contains several tracks: a tuning track; a track with the complete musical work; a track with individual recordings of each of the four different voices and a track of the musical work without one of the voices. An analysis of the data was made through observation of a series of lessons with the saxophone students and by comparing the results of their progress. Results indicate the existence of a notable difference in the preparation of the repertoire, with or without audio study support. The repertoire which the students studied with the help of audio-support revealed indications of a better individual preparation of the students, a higher level of motivation of the students to study their individual parts and consequently a better management of the group and the duration of the class, which all together leaded to a faster and more efficient preparation of the program.
