Um olhar português sobre a China : as relações luso-chinesas nas obras de alguns autores portugueses

Abstract

Os portugueses foram os pioneiros europeus que chegaram à China após a descoberta de uma extensa rota marítima. Daí em diante, abriu-se um estreito relacionamento entre os dois países, sobretudo através de Macau. É importante salientar que alguns portugueses visitaram a China e publicaram as suas visões deste país. Estes autores portugueses registaram as suas impressões acerca da cultura chinesa, relatando encontros e desencontros. Este trabalho tem como objectivo analisar essas obras e compor um olhar completo e global que ajude a desvendar as relações entre Portugal e a China. Através da voz dos escritores portugueses, pode-se encarar a China com objectividade, reconhecendo a China com uma visão universal.

The portuguese were the European pioneers who arrived in China after the discovery of an extensive sea route. From then on, it opened up a close relationship between the two countries, especially through Macao. It´s importante to emphasize that some Portuguese visited China and published their views of this country. These Portuguese authors recorded their impressions of the Chinese culture, reporting encounters and contradictions. This work aims to analyze these opuses and build a complete and overall look that helps to unravel the relationship between Portugal and China. Through the voice of Portuguese writers, you can see China objectively, acknowledging China with a universal vision.
