Padrões de comunicação em famílias de meios geográficos distintos

Abstract

O documento apresenta algumas conclusões, não generalizáveis, acerca dos padrões comunicacionais de quatro famílias portuguesas, residentes em meios geográficos distintos (urbanos e rurais). O estudo obedece a uma análise exploratória, e decorreu em duas fases: a primeira visou a recolha de dados que permitem a caracterização dos indivíduos e famílias; a segunda decorreu durante um período de três dias (14 a 16 de março de 2013), nos quais os elementos dos agregados familiares registaram o número, tipo, forma, destinatário e natureza das interações estabelecidas. Com base neste estudo de casos constatou-se que as famílias residentes em meio urbano, durante o período em análise, comunicaram mais do que as famílias residentes em meio rural e que as comunicações presenciais são, em todas as famílias, em número sempre superior às comunicações estabelecidas através de mediação tecnológica

The research presents some not generalizable findings, about communication patterns of four Portuguese families living in distinct geographical (urban and rural) environments. The study obeys to an exploratory analysis that has been developed in two stages: the first stage aimed the collection of data that allowed the characterization of individuals and families; the second stage took place during three consecutive days (from 14 to 16 of March 2013), in which the elements of the households registered the number, type, shape and nature of the established interactions. Based in the studied cases, it was found that during the period under review, the families living in urban areas performed more communications then the families living in a rural area. Also, in all the families studied, the communications in person are always in greater numbers than the communications established through technological mediation.
