Iniciação à flauta transversal: passagem da fife para o flautim

Abstract

Esta investigação teve como objectivo verificar a viabilidade do uso do Flautim na iniciação da aprendizagem da flauta transversal, no seguimento da flauta Fife, em crianças cujas características físicas não permitam ainda suportar uma flauta standard. Foi elaborado um projecto piloto com quatro alunos e posteriormente realizado um estudo de caso. A observação dos alunos envolvidos revelou que a opção de utilizar o Flautim apresentou resultados bastante positivos, tendo os alunos reagido favoravelmente ao instrumento e apresentado uma boa adaptação e evolução. No entanto, os resultados não são conclusivos ao ponto de podermos afirmar que o flautim é o melhor instrumento de transição para a flauta standard, pois a amostra em análise foi bastante reduzida, mas provou ser uma alternativa viável à flauta com cabeça curva. Por outro lado, os questionários realizados aos professores de flauta apresentaram resultados contraditórios, sugerindo a importância de um estudo mais vasto e prolongado.

This investigation's goal was meant to verify the interest of beginners to use Piccolo in the transition for the standard flute, immediately after using the Fife, thinking specially in beginners who have not yet their physical conditions fully developed. A pilot study was designed with four students and afterwards with a case study. Observation revealed that the Piccolo option had very positive results, having the students shown a good adaptation and evolution. However, the results were not conclusive to the point of saying that the Piccolo is the best transition instrument to the standard flute, since the experiment involved a small number of students, but it proved to be a worth alternative to the curved head flute model. On the other hand, the interviews to teachers on the field showed contradictory opinions, which means that further investigations should be carried on.
