A swarm of mafic to intermediate igneous enclaves can be observed in the SW border of the Évora granitoid, near Pomarinho. AMS measurements, on both the enclaves and the host rock are very consistent and show that magnetic lineations (K1) have a N-S trend and a plunge of 36º to the S. The attitude of the studied linear features could have been controlled by: i) the tectonic stress field, during the final stages of igneous crystallization; ii) the orientation of the wall of the intrusion; iii) the simultaneous flow of the felsic and mafic magmas close to the top of the intrusion. |
