A comparação dos provérbios portugueses e chineses contendo numerais: análise de aspetos cognitivos e linguísticos

Abstract

Existem muitos provérbios que incluem referências a numerais, uma vez que os números fazem parte das práticas sociais humanas e deixam uma marca profunda nas manifestações culturais linguísticas. Esta dissertação explora os significados e as conotações culturais diferentes de provérbios portugueses e chineses contendo numerais, através de uma análise comparativa de aspetos cognitivos e linguísticos. Por um lado, procura contribuir para a identificação de identidades e diferenças entre as duas culturas; por outro lado, pretende desenvolver as práticas de ensino-aprendizagem da língua portuguesa destinadas a alunos chineses. Considerando que ainda existem poucos estudos comparativos sobre os provérbios portugueses e chineses, é necessária mais investigação nesta área.

There are many proverbs that include references to numerals, since numbers are part of human social practices and leave a deep mark on linguistic cultural manifestations. This dissertation explores the different cultural meanings and connotations of Portuguese and Chinese proverbs containing numerals, through a comparative analysis of cognitive and linguistic aspects. On the one hand, it seeks to contribute to the identification of identities and differences between the two cultures; on the other hand, it intends to develop Portuguese language teaching-learning practices aimed at Chinese students. Considering that there are still few comparative studies on Portuguese and Chinese proverbs, more research is needed in this area.
