A Fundação Casa de Macau: entre o passado, o presente e o futuro

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio tem como objetivo analisar a Fundação Casa de Macau como um vínculo institucional entre o passado, presente e futuro das relações luso-chinesas. Esta linearidade temporal é estabelecida pela sua origem, enquadrada na história diplomática entre Portugal e a China, e pelo desenvolvimento das iniciativas da instituição, dirigidas à promoção, ao aprofundamento e à divulgação de estudos e conhecimentos sobre a China, Portugal e, em especial, Macau. O estágio curricular, realizado no âmbito do Programa de Estágios da Fundação Casa de Macau, em parceria com a Universidade de Aveiro, consistiu na investigação sobre o Projeto da Grande Baía, uma proposta chinesa recente de criação de uma metrópole mundial, que aglomera a província de Guangdong e as Regiões Administrativas Especiais de Hong Kong e de Macau, no sentido de transformar a Área da Grande Baía num centro internacional financeiro, comercial, científico, de inovação tecnológica e educação.

The following internship report aims to analyze Fundação Casa de Macau as an institutional link between the past, present and future of the Portuguese-Chinese relations. This historical connection is established by its origin, embedded in the evolution of the diplomatic relations between Portugal and China, and by the development of the institution’s initiatives, aimed at promoting, deepening and sharing studies and knowledge related to China, Portugal, and especially Macao. This internship, carried out under the Fundação Casa de Macau Internship Program in partnership with University of Aveiro, consisted of a research project about the Greater Bay Area, a recent Chinese proposal for the creation of a world metropolis, which agglomerates the province of Guangdong and the Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao, in order to transform the area into a financial, commercial, scientific, technological and educational international center.
