Exploração de géneros musicais contemporâneos nas aulas de saxofone do ensino artístico especializado da música

Abstract

Este documento constitui-se como o Relatório da UC Prática de Ensino Supervisionada do Mestrado em Ensino de Música da Universidade de Aveiro. Encontra-se organizado em 2 secções principais, que refletem as componentes Prática de Ensino e Projeto Educativo. A primeira secção descreve a Prática de Ensino realizada na classe de Saxofone da escola Conservatório de Música do Porto durante o ano letivo 2019/2020. A segunda secção é referente à investigação decorrente da implementação do Projeto Educativo nessa mesma escola. O seu objetivo foi implementar e compreender o potencial de uma estratégia educacional alternativa que se concretizou no trabalho e na exploração de géneros musicais contemporâneos nas aulas de Saxofone do Ensino Artístico Especializado da Música, tendo em vista a motivação dos alunos e o desenvolvimento das suas capacidades musicais. Este projeto contou com a participação ativa de 2 alunos e a sua implementação foi dividida em 2 etapas: na primeira foi trabalhada uma obra do repertório convencional e na segunda foi trabalhada uma obra enquadrada nesta nova tipologia musical. Os géneros musicais contemporâneos escolhidos para esta investigação (música mista, minimalismo/pós-minimalismo, blues e pop/rock) refletiram as categorias de música erudita e de música não erudita.

This document constitutes itself as the Report of UC Supervised Teaching Practice of the Master’s Degree in Music Education at the Universidade de Aveiro. It is organized in 2 principal sections that reflect the components Teaching Practice and Educational Project. The first section describes the Teaching Practice held at the Saxophone class of Conservatório de Música do Porto during the school year 2019/2020. The second section refers to the investigation resulting from the implementation of the Educational Project in that same school. Its goal was to implement and understand the potential of an alternative educational strategy that took shape in the work and exploration of contemporary musical genres in Saxophone classes of Specialized Artistic Education of Music, with a view to motivating students and developing their musical skills. This project had the participation of 2 students and its implementation was divided in 2 stages: in the first, the students played a piece from the conventional repertoire and in the second they played a piece from this new musical typology. The contemporary musical genres chosen to this investigation (mixed music, minimalism/post-minimalism, blues and pop/rock) reflected classical music and popular music.
