Kamishibai plurilingue: diversidade linguística e aprendizagens

Abstract

A marcada diversidade linguística presente nas escolas portuguesas trouxe novos desafios aos professores. Estes desafios envolvem a necessidade de promover, realçar e valorizar, junto dos alunos, precisamente esta diversidade existente nos contextos escolares. Face a esta realidade, o presente trabalho pretende reforçar a necessidade e importância de sensibilizar para a diversidade linguística e de fomentar, ao mesmo tempo, aprendizagens em diferentes áreas curriculares através da ferramenta inovadora kamishibai plurilingue. Para este efeito, foi desenvolvido um projeto em torno desta ferramenta com uma turma do 2.º ano de escolaridade do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, pertencente a um agrupamento de Escolas do distrito de Aveiro, caracterizada pela existência de diversidade linguística e cultural. Importa referir que este projeto de intervenção-investigação teve como princípio uma metodologia qualitativa com características de investigação-ação na qual se definiu a seguinte questão de investigação: Quais as aprendizagens dos alunos nas atividades desenvolvidas em torno do kamishibai plurilingue? Pretendeu-se com este trabalho perceber se as atividades do projeto kamishibai plurilingue sensibilizavam para a diversidade linguística e se promoviam aprendizagens curriculares ao nível dos conhecimentos, capacidades e atitudes. Os dados recolhidos emergiram do projeto através de instrumentos como a observação participante, o inquérito por questionário (aos alunos e encarregados de educação), o inquérito por entrevista (à docente) e o focus group (aos alunos). Após uma análise categorial dos dados obtidos, podemos concluir que as atividades do projeto kamishibai plurilingue sensibilizaram para a diversidade linguística. Além disso, os dados permitiram-nos também concluir que as atividades implementadas proporcionaram aos alunos o desenvolvimento de aprendizagens curriculares a diferentes níveis.

The sharp linguistic diversity present in portuguese schools brought new challenges for teachers. These challenges involve the need to promote, enhance and value, with the students, exactly this diversity in school contexts. In the light of this reality, this paper aims to reinforce the need and importance of raising awareness of linguistic diversity and at the same time fostering learning in different curriculum areas through the innovative plurilingual kamishibai tool. For this purpose, a project was developed around this tool with a class of the 2nd grade of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, belonging to a group of schools in Aveiro district, characterized by the existence of linguistic diversity and culture. It should be noted that this intervention-research project had as its principle a qualitative methodology with action-research characteristics in which the following research question was defined: What are the students' learning in the activities developed around the plurilingual kamishibai? The aim of this study was to understand if the activities of the plurilingual kamishibai project sensitized linguistic diversity and promoted curricular learning in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes. The data collected emerged from the project through instruments such as participant observation, questionnaire survey (to students and parents), interview survey (to the teacher) and focus group (to the students). After a categorical analysis of the obtained data, we can conclude that the activities of the plurilingual kamishibai project sensitized for linguistic diversity. In addition, the data also allowed us to conclude that the implemented activities enabled students to develop curricular learning at different levels.
