Integração do aluno estrangeiro na China e em Portugal

Abstract

O presente trabalho propõe-se identificar as diferenças culturais que dificultam a integração do estudante estrangeiro num contexto universitário diferente do do seu país de origem, tomando como sujeitos da investigação alunos portugueses que entraram em universidades chinesas e alunos chineses que entraram em universidades portuguesas no ano de 2007. O trabalho pretende ser um contributo para um melhor entendimento da dinâmica das relações interpessoais na China e em Portugal, com destaque das diferenças culturais que obstam a uma integração serena dos estudantes de ambos os países, sugerindo princípios de orientação que são do interesse das instituições, de forma a permitirem um intercâmbio bem sucedido.

ABSTRACT: The goal of this dissertation is to identify the cultural differences the foreign student faces during the integration process. The subjects are Portuguese students who entered Chinese universities and Chinese students who entered Portuguese universities in the year 2007. The study aims at a better understanding of the China-Portugal relationship dynamics taking into consideration the cultural differences that may hinder the integration of students from both countries, suggesting principles for an orientation program and pointing out the university’s responsibility in promoting the latter.
