Learning to read is very important in the 1st and 2nd school year because it will influence the future school results and professional success, as well as the child's behavior throughout his life. Readiness is an early measure that allows us to infer if the student is ready to learn to read without difficulty. There are few studies regarding reading readiness and factors that can influence reading. This study intends to identify some sociodemographic factors and use of digital platforms that may influence reading readiness. 96 individuals were interviewed, 48 were children (23 were males and 25 females) and 48 parents wich were asked about reading readiness and the influencing factors, respectively. The test used to verify reading readiness was the ABC Lourenço Filho test, and a questionnaire was used to collect data on socio-demographic characteristics. The results obtained allowed to identify some factors influencing the reading readiness for children finishing the last year of preschool. However, there were no significant relationships between sociodemographic factors and the use of digital platforms and the results of the ABC Lourenço Filho test, except for the factor of the existence of siblings, which is a factor poorly studied. Further studies are needed to assess protective and risk factors for reading readiness, taking into account the influence that learning how to read has on the social and professional future of children. Knowledge of influencing factors will allow to creat a prevention and / or an intervention plan. This work intends to reinforce the notion of the importance of the role of the psychologist both in the schools and in the promotion of children's development, as well as in the activation of constructive and positive parenting
